Stepping Stone / July 5, 2018 / Christine
The last step is again sealing the entire piece of artwork with an outdoor water repellent product. You can use a high gloss or matt finish your choice. Apply your artwork to the wall or fence with the appropriate screws or nails. If you dont want the screw heads to show put the piece up first and then paint it in place. Another option I love for outside use is painting concrete stepping stones. They come in all shapes and sizes in your local hardware store garden area. This is a great time of year to do this project because it will be ready for the spring.
Personalized stepping stones make great gifts for nongardeners as well. Commemorate special occasions by having a stepping stone engraved. Celebrate a new birth with the newborns name and date. Help new couples remember their wedding and a proud bowler his first perfect game. Engraved stepping stones in landscape beds near a houses front door tell stories of the family inside each a reminder of important life events. The gift of an engraved garden stepping stone for a special occasion will be appreciated long after the event and will give the best gift of all. Each time the recipient steps over the stone it will conjure memories of joyous times past.
Materials tools and equipment needed: stepping stones wheelbarrow pea gravel sod cutter shovel rake steeltoed shoes work gloves. Work safe: Always wear work gloves and/or safety glasses when you should. When handling heavy materials lift with your legs not your back and remember to wear steeltoed shoes. Interior designers love to spruce things up and make them more attractive. Never let it be said that we stop with the inside of the house. It is approaching spring and time to give your outdoor space a little boost. We will talk about a two different outdoor wall art projects that are easy cost effective and make a big statement.
